Technical Engineer with London Buses; Technical Engineer/Transport Manager with National Bus Company subsidiaries (Midland Red North, United Automobile Services) around the time of privatisation.

 

Research interests

·         Effects of ownership changes in UK bus industry (PhD thesis completed at the Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds

·         Cost benefit analysis, with specific application to inland waterway systems (successful PhD supervision 1997).

·         Logistics development in COMESA countries (successful PhD supervision 2008)

·         Petrochemicals logistics in Egypt (in progress)
